
Many customers found the "replace toner cartridge" won't clear from the printer display after installing cartridges with brand new chips. Now, we are going to show you how to correctly reset Brother toner cartridges.
I Toner Cartridge Resetting
Here below are three Brother toner cartridges with different capacities, which are being reset correctly. If the new cartridge's drive gear is not the same as the below position, we need to reset the cartridge.

①Use a tool to rotate the left gear clockwise.
②Until the concave point on the right one is facing the tiny black triangle
③Rotate the right white gear clockwise.
II Drum Counter Resetting
"Replace Drum" will appear on the display of the Brother machine when the drum unit has reached the end of its life, and the machine indicates to drum life remaining is 0%.
For Printer without Scanner
①Press both "+" and "OK" buttons till it displays "Drum".
②Press "OK" button, "Reset Drum?" displays.
③Press "-"button, "Accepted" displays.
④The drum life counter is reset to 100% once the reset is complete.
For Printer with Scanner
①Press "X" and "Toner Level" buttons till it displays "Reset Menu".
②Click "Drum" and "Reset Drum?" displays.
③Click "Yes" and "Accepted" displays.
④The drum life counter is reset to 100% once the reset is complete.
