Comparison of Computer Monitoring Interfaces for Brother III  Replacement Chip

The comparison table of computer monitoring interfaces between OEM products and compatible Non-OEM products (Brother III):

Conclusion: During standby or the process of printing, the computer monitoring interface may have a certain probability that the ink volume cannot be displayed (but the print screen shows the normal amount of ink), which will not affect the normal use of the replacement chip. If the user restarts the computer, then the ink volume will be normally displayed.

Comparison of Print Notice Between Brother III OEM Chip and Non-OEM Replacement Chip

    1.  Comparison Between Apex Chips and OEM Chips In Installation Display
         Take LC3111/LC3213 as an example:

    2.
Comparison Between Apex Chips and OEM Chips When Chip Life Is Exhausted
         Take LC3111/LC3213 as an example:

    Conclusion:
①Apex chip information is modified to "Non Brother Ink" in accordance with Brother's White Paper. "?" is a symbol that appears on printer after Apex replacement chips are installed. After doing relevant tests, the replacement chips can be used normally.
②When Apex chip with Non-OEM information is run out of life, the connected computer will display "X" while the printer screen will display "?" (as shown in Figure D above). The printer screen will also display "X" so long as customers pull out and install the ink cartridge (as the OEM chip shown in Figure C above).
③Printer LC3111 and LC3213 are the newly released A4 format models. It is speculated that this kind of phenomenon may also appear in the subsequent Apex chips with Non-OEM information used in Brother III A4 format printers.

    * The compatible ink cartridge's ink volume needs to match with chip information, otherwise the printer screen may still display "?" after pulling out and installing the cartridge.
