The project involved collaboration between APEXMIC, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Zhengzhou University, Zhuhai Pantum Electronics, and Hangzhou Sec-Chip Technology, focused on addressing key challenges in office network information security and the printer industry's core chip development. Through extensive research and development, the team produced a series of printer SoCs powered by independent CPUs. These chips are now widely used in Pantum printers, representing a significant step toward widespread application. In July 2021, the series underwent a thorough appraisal by the China Electronics Society and emerged as a leader among similar international products.

The China Electronics Society Science and Technology Awards, a hallmark of excellence in electronic information technology development in China, underscore the significance of technological innovation, economic impact, and industrial progress. APEXMIC's receipt of the First Prize for Technological Progress signifies its exemplary contribution to advancing technological innovation, fostering the application of scientific achievements, and driving industrialization.
